Crossfire questions

1. Does Crossfire work with Fallout 4 now. Like, properly not on some bodge.
2. What games have you found that do not work with it at all?
3. Is it easy to disable?

1/ There is a Fallout 4 profile for crossfire, is said to be working well
2/ ......... I don't use CF
3/ Crossfire can be disabled in the driver software easily, simple on/off option. also can be set for each game profile.

Thanks. Seems that Scan are bundling Star Wars with their cards and they cost £20 more than others so I think I will order from them.

Crossfire, I have found, is a bit wonky at times. There are games it doesn't work well with. I cannot get it to play nicely with GTA 5 at all. There are games like Euro Truck Sim 2, that do not have predefined profiles, that with a bit of tweaking, I have found settings to work for them.

That said, I do not own either Fallout 4 or the new Star Wars, so I cannot confirm nor deny any crossfire issues with those games.

Thanks dude noted. From what I've heard elsewhere GTAV works pretty well apparently so maybe it's something else in your rig causing it?

Star Wars will work perfectly because it's DICE, who tend to release very compatible games with oddities like SLI and CFX and heavily threaded CPUs and so on.

I just can't seem to find any solid info on Fallout 4 (which is why I want to do Crossfire so I can max it at 4k with FSAA for a laugh). I can find loads of complaints, but they have all seemed to stop. That usually means something is working lol.

Crossfire with Fallout 4 works well for me.

Crossfire on Battlefront is terrible, practically the same FPS as running a single card. With crossfire enabled i also have to start Battlefront in full screen windowed mode.

I have no idea if SLI is any better but I might go down the nvidia approach next, haven't been too impressed with crossfire overall. It does make staging upgrades more cost effective though!

Just googled it and still no crossfire support in Battlefront. Quite a lot of posts complaining about worse performance :(

Oh well, won't be buying that then..

Kushiro - DICE are usually very good with multi card/CPU core support. Battlefield Bad Company 2 was one of the only games I ever used with Quadfire that actually scaled and supported it all.

I guess they're getting lazy in old age.
