Crossfire HD7950 and HD7970

Hey guys. I really like Tom`s reviews so i think this is the right place to post my question
My current setup is:
3770k+H100i
AsRock Z77 Extreme4
16Gb Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz
OCZ Vector 128Gb+WD Black 500Gb
Gigabyte HD7950 (900Mhz)
Corsair CX 750
CM 690 II Advanced

My question... Is the CX750 enough to add a Gigabyte HD7970(1000Mhz) to the system? I read that AMD Crossfire will use both cards at max spec. The other question is should i do this or should i buy just another HD7950?
Thanks and hope you understand my english:)

i will say buy another hd 7950, and if you buy a hd 7970 it will only run at hd 7950 speed, AMD recommends 750watts or greater power supply so you are just on the edge

crossfire is only as fast as the slowest component in the chain!

it would be a waste to xfire a 7970 with a 7950, you would be better off getting another 7950 and clocking them the same, also you'll save some pennies!

A friend of mine runs a 7950 with a 7970 and gets higher overall scores than running a pair of 7950s.

It's pretty much a waste of money buying a 7970 though as the 7950 will always be cheaper and will do what it can pretty much.

I guess nobody really tried this combination of GPU`s. What about the PSU? Will it handle the two graphic cards?
