Crazy sensor readings,

Ne one come up with issue's between Asus's Pc Probe II and everest?

In another thread i read someone told of issues regarding temp differences

between real temp and everest, so i decided to check mine, running pc probe

and everest at the same time,

First there was a couple of degree's temp difference between the two, which should i rely on?

But then! crazy s**t started happenen, Pc probe alarms went off all over the

shop, the cpu voltage was 42v, cpu fan dropped to 100rpm, dram voltage

dropped to 0.05v pll voltage dropped to 0.15v,

All these things happened only for a second, and one after another, (not at the same time)

I then closed everest n left probe open for a while n nothin went wrong

except the south bridge temp hit 255C for a split second, must be a

false reading, it hit 255 and then straight back to 48 with in half a second,

I'm guessing it was a software conflict betwee the two programs,,,

or that pc probe is just crap,

I'd say the processor would blow up instantly with that many volts runnin

thru it,

Help????

Everest is by far the most accurate, never really liked asus probe, its not at all accurate.

Everest gives the same values as coretemp, which is pretty accurate.

Cheers,

Everest it is,

One last question,

everest ses my cpu is at 49C

but the cores are all around 59C

whats up with that?

n when they say the max temp of the cpu is 67.9,

does that mean the cpu temp, or the core temp??

Cheers again,

Joe,

Core temperatures are more accurate, I believe the CPU temperature is just on the back of the chip by the socket, so ignore that..

Id take the maxmimum temperature as the hottest you would go on the cores, 67.5 is reasonably high, I wouldnt really go over that.

WHAT THE H3LL!!

I just opened Everest and it says

CPU 25

CPU #1 21

CPU #2 21

CPU #3 22

CPU #4 22

I open CoreTemp and HWMonitor and they give the reading 35c?
