crazy idea with a 4000rpm fan

LOL dont care about noise I have a fan controller.! HAHAHA

Those fans will chop you fingers off, and some of them draw so much power you ant even run them off the mobo!

Those fans are like tubojets mate, I really would NOT buy them unless your pc is in the next house!

Won't fit in the V8 (it has a 25mm space), might chop off a finger or two and as TTL said will probably destroy your ear drums too.

I'd go for push/pull with sensible fans on for example a TRUE.

LMAO ... See you in hospital ..

No i have a couple of deltas and the noise is just incredible. it will turn your V8 into a v8000000000000.

Seriously though they do not humm, they do not make a load noise. they dammed well scream at you and give you tinnitus .....

There is a difference between moving air over a object to cool it and creating a worm hole in your own home .... you'll be doing the latter ....

Oh yeh and medical advances now a days can sow figures back on but they cannot peace back a shredded carrot .....

It isn't called a server fan for no reason ... why do you think server rooms are normally out of the way in a sealed room .....

What everyone else said + you wont even be able to run that off most fan controllers. The power draw is just too damn high. When I was running them in my rig I had to buy special rheostat controllers at £25 per fan.

I ended up putting 4 of them in the OC3D server....I can still hear them, even though the server is 30 miles away in London :p

Just because I'm bored at uni:

- length of the circle with r=58 mm: ~360mm

- distance of tip traveled at 4000rpm in one minute: (4000*360)/1000 = 1440m

- speed [m/s]: 1440 / 60 = 24 m/s

This means the rotor will slam into your finger at approximately 86.4 km/u (24*3.6). I can tell you; your finger will lose the battle :D

I just looked through some of them delta fan that ppl have posted on you tube .. how many idiots that nearly take there fingers off.

Ppl will never learn till they see it happen or it happens to them. I have a set of the old rare metal blade server fans . tested them once and about 4 seconds later they were put away for life .... just mad

Your all wimps :D.

I use two of these for air benching. Along with two slightly slower ones that just make you bleed insted of digitless.

The 240v cast alu papsts are the best though. Could do the job of a blender without much issue .

I was looking at those fans you linked to and they seem resonable.

But Sycthe Kaze Jyuni 1900RPM have the same airflow (110CFM) and are nearly half the rated noise, thinner and a few quid cheaper too.

LINK

Special tech stock them aswell.

Just my two cents. :)
