CPUz vs Bios voltages

I've searched but can't see this being raised before. Overclocking my 2500k in Asus 'Turbo V EVO' and the CPU voltage is set to 1.18v, yet CPUz shows the vcore to be 1.296v.... Which is right?

I have only just got a S/B myself,so I know it is a bit confusing.

However, was the cpu at idle when you were running CPUZ? if not,it is showing you the voltage under load.

CPUz 1.58 latest. Didn't really want to flash teh bios unless I have to. Dated March this year. Seems many people on teh web have asked this, but no clear response. I see Tom uses CPUz, so I assume that's not the problem.

Currently running Prime95 at 4.7Ghz and bios says 1.18v and CPUz 1.312v. I'm guessing from this clock and voltages, the bios is wrong or I have a monster chip....chances are bios.

Asus Sabertooth P67 btw

Looking in the bios again...

Speedstep has the ability to increase the voltage, as does the extra voltage for turbo mode option. Ofc there's the Line Load calibration as well. Geez, does make you wonder why they put a standard voltage option at all.
