is this normal on stock clocks 2 ghz cpu my ram speed was 130 mhz and vista gaved a score of 3.3 and when i oced cpu to 2.66 ghz and did it again it sayed 4.1 with a ram speed of 180 MHz why does it become Higher DDR-400 ram

I'm not totally understanding ur question. The only answer I can think of is that the score improves with the oc the same way a 3dmark06 or superpi score would increase. It's a benchmarker.

The ddr400 should stock at 200mhz. If it's auto'd or set to ddr333, 166mhz, it gives u a bigger allowance to increase the fsb.

Can depend on ur ram ratio setting as to why it was at 130mhz.

ddr stands for double data rate

ddr 400 would run at 200mhz at stock

;)

Problem being, on the K8 type mobos, many of them only support ddr400 speeds for 2 or 3 slots, although they`ll allow full population @ limit to 266/333.

Also if we`re using say 3x ddr400 and 1x ddr266 or 1x ddr400 and 1x ddr266, the mobo will stick to the lowest speed dimm.
