CPU Life?

I have a Bulldozer FX-4170 and I have successfully and stably overclocked it to 5GHz. Here's my question, I have the voltage cranked all the way up to 1.575v with max temps of 60C. Does anybody know by how much, if at all, this will decrease the life of my CPU.

There's no way to predict these sorts of things. It could decrease the life quite quickly, but how quickly is something no one can tell you.

I would call 1.5v ''healthy'' but anything beyond that will degrade soon enough ~

Well I'm am using a relatively new system and for cooling I am using a H100i on 800RPM with SP optimized fans.

Well I know that I can run 4.9 stable on 1.4825v

Are you sure your temperatures are correct?

They're incredibly good for that kind of clock.

What stress test and temperature monitoring are you using?
Also, the AMD don't have temperature probes in the CPU themselves so temps are never too accurate

I would suggest you drop to 4.9 then

Thats what I was thinking James! and I am using Prime95 and OCCT for monitoring.

Run the 5.0Ghz for benches (sparingly) and run 4.9Ghz 24/7
You won't see a difference in the real world between 4.9/5.0 ~

yep, thanks guys! I just rebooted to my 4.9GHz stable BIOS save. So far my system is running at 50C tops! (probably wrong though )

if you drop the voltage and clocks back to the manus default , what temps do u get in idle mode?

because if u see cpu temps being the same as your rooms temp or lower then u will know that the temp sensors are not really saying the truth.
can u try it plz?

yep 25C, and I know that AMD chips dont usually have accurate temps
