CPU cooler

hey peeps,

Im currently deciding whether i should upgrade my cpu cooler. I currently have the prolimatech megashadow. When i fold, i do get high temps, this is expected as the cpu is over clocked but i see temperatures reaching into the 80 degrees.

Would the best option be to get better fans or cooler?

Its absolutely fine when gaming but folding temps get me worried at times.

My case is an FT02

Is the corsair H80 a good replacement or am i better off getting better fans or a different cooler?

The h100 is what i would want to get

but where to mount in the ft02, rhe 24pin would get in the way

H80 i can mount at the top, on push/pull and with h100 i would need to remove two 180mm intake fans and fit two 120mm as intakes instead

Just wait as Tom is going to review the 80 soon I think and it might give you a better idea.

Anybody got a Corsair H80 and how good is it?

I got the Corsair H80, it works great. Its already push pull, but if you got the room for the H100 than go for that one for its larger radiator.

i think i'll be going for the nh-d14. From the review above and other i have seen that they dont go above 70c which is massice for me since i hit 91c at times when folding

Before you get the D14 you might want to check out the latest Air cooler from Noctua

This is the Noctua NH-C14. I just read the review from Guru3d and it beats the D14 by 1c. Not much but just a thought.

Nh-d14 is cheaper now so i go with that, nice find though if it were same as d14 price then id have bought it
