Counter Strike Source Probelms

When im playing CS i keep getting these lag spikes. My ping is very low like in the single digits but i keep getting this. I have a 9800 GX2 card and i dont think it has any problems. Maybe my video settings are off? please helpppp! =)

And CS:S is known for SLI issues so set it to single card for this game.

lol i am on 1 card its not overclocked tho and u mean update the driver on my carD?

Yes, update rivers on your card.

The 9800GX2 is just 2 9800 cards stuck together.

Still runs on SLI.

How much ram and what os you running? vista + 1gig ram = lag spikes all over the shop. Make sure as well your psu is up to the task of that monster of a gpu mate

In the Nvidia Control Panel select the menu "Set Multi-GPU Configuration". You will have two options. To disable SLI select "Multi Display Mode" for SLI select "Multi-GPU mode".

A restart is required if you go from Multi-display to Multi-GPU, but not the other way.

it is possible it could be your hard drive, as that gears pretty power hungry, try some other things , do you have a earlier graphics card you could try, to see if its the card thats overloading that psu?

nope lol im makin a new rig soon tho. i think the drivers and the single gpu mode fixed it
