No no noes, you got it all wrong, you heat it up with a hair dryer/heat gun, and it warms up the paste, allowing you to remove the sink

i carefully twist the heatsink to get it off, worked good 2 times when i had to remove a zalman 7000b alcu.

however this trick doesnt work on amd's stock heatsink.
