Could it be the old screen??

Hey guys! Won a new graphics card (XFX DD 7870 Tahiti LE) from Aria this week, all is good but when gaming the screen sometimes flashes black? Could it be due to the oldish screen which I've had to connect using a VGA adapter? Cheers and Happy New Year!

aria still hast tahiti LE cards? i thought they were all gone.
no the adapter shouldn't be the issue, my secondary monitor uses an adapter as well (new monitor incoming, no worries), the card might be faulty.

Does it happen on specific games only? Also, are you drivers updated? Make sure you get rid of old drivers too.

Only seems to do it on League of Legends and DoTA 2, Works fine with Crysis 3 and Bioshock. Everythings up to date aswell yes =)

Only MOBAs eh? That's strange. Could you try playing in a different screen mode? For example, if you use fullscreen, try windowed borderless, or vice versa?

all of those games are barely demanding, might be that the gpu tries to go into 2d mode?
