Corsair on of the most popular memory manufactures, and later on adding on a highly successful range of power supplies, cases, liquid coolers and recently speakers have now announced a new product range. Corsair have decided to take a shot at making gaming peripherals with their new Corsair Vengeance Gaming which includes, mice, keyboards and gaming audio.

There are currently two mice available, both of which feature 5700DPI and 1000Hz ultra polling. The difference? One the M60 is designed for FPS, while the M90 features 15 buttons for MMO and RTS players. The mice also feature an aluminium body for durability, with SoftTouch coating for extra grip. The sensor being used is the Avago ADNS-9500, which is the sensor present in the Logitech G500, Roccat Kone[+] and Steelseries Xai.

There are also two mechanical gaming keyboards available, both of which boast Cherry MX Red keyswitches, which are softer versions of MX Blacks. Most companies prefer using Cherry MX Blacks, because they feel Reds are too soft. They also feature 20 key rollover, despite using a USB connector, and also have a solid aluminium chassis for improved durability. Like the mice there are also split into FPS and MMO gaming.

When it comes to headsets there are currently 3 offerings to appeal to differnt types of gamers, include a lightweight behind the ears set, to virtual 7.1 Dolby audio.

I think we can expect these products to be good, since corsair are making them. I like the look of the first mouse and the second keyboard.

My primary work rig (soon to be gaming rig because I am building a new work rig) consist of

  • Corsair 800D
  • Corsair Vengeance memory
  • Corsair H80 cooler
  • 2x Corsair force SSD
  • Corsair Power Supply
  • Corsair memory cooler

So needless to say.... I will probably end up buying the MMO/RTS mouse and keyboard.

That would make a very respectable rig. Pity you can't get a corsair CPU and GPU
