Corsair SP vs AF on Radiators

so i just bought 2 Corsair 120mm Fans planning on sticking them on my H100i. i figured id keep the 2 stock fans and just add these two fans and put them in push/pull.

when i got the fans i realized i had ordered the wrong ones, i got the AF ones and not the SP ones (my mistake not the shippers). basically what I wanna know is, is it going to make any real difference if I put the AFs on my Rad? i just dont wanna pay $10 in RMA if its only going to amount to 1-2C cooler difference.

also note they are the Quiet Editions (and are supposed to be)

thanks all.

itll be worse than 1°-2° dude and paired with the OE fans for push/pull it'll be
a temperature nightmare. just buy another dual pack of SP120 and save the AF120
for another cause.
either use 4 SP120QE or just two, try and not mix and match rad fans..

dont have another cause for them. and i wont. honestly, i dont know why i even asked this question. im not too worried about temps tbh. ill check them out before and after, but the only reason i even got the fans was for the little blue rings on the fans to match the blue case lighting i have.

thanks for your reply

You could try liquid cooling them.

despite what i said, I am sending the AF120s back in exchange for SP120s. ill stick those SP120s with the Stock H100i fans (which are similar to SP120s but different i know) in push pull. I may or may not buy 2 more SPs down the road to make them all the same. idk.

You need to have all the same fans on the rad. The differences in airflow will create turbulence and fudge up your temps. Just my 2 cents :)

if that's the case, then you could have used the AF frames and swap the
blade assembly and windings packs from the SP120L fans and had the OE
fans and rings.. i've already done it for kicks..
stating the reason for the question could have saved you RMA money...

Sorry to hijack the thread, but is this easy enough to do?

I wanted to swap to SP120 fans purely to match the white rings with the rest of my system and AF fans, however I read that the fans that come with the H100i are better than the SP120 fans.

May have to give this a go. Then again, if it's only a small difference between the fans then perhaps it's not worth it!

The h100i fans just spin faster. You shouldnt mix and match if connected to the H100i controller either because the fans will spin at different speeds.

Push pull is pointless on the H100 at low speeds tbh.
