Hey, isn't the H115i the latest and greatest cooler?
I just ordered 4 of these to upgrade my 4 hardware/firmware/software development systems to Ryzen. I purchased:
- 4 * Ryzen 7 1800X
- 4 * Corsair H115i cooler
- 4 * ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard
- 16 * GSKILL TridentZ 4266MHz DDR4 SDRAM
Already received the DDR4 and H115i coolers. Why are they not listed as having AM4 support when they are the newest coolers? In fact, why are they not on the list AT ALL?
What's going on here, Corsair?
As an aside, I saw an article that says the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboards that I purchased have holes around the CPU for both AM3+ as well as AM4. What I don't know is... will this let me install the H115i coolers? Will it, Corsair? Anyone?
The AM3+ and AM4 holes in the motherboard are so close together that they literally overlap. So I wonder... do both holes in the motherboard have threaded holes in the backplate on the back of the motherboard (assuming there is a backplate, and hopefully a steel/metal one to pull away heat).
What's the deal here, Corsair?
Can anyone help me figure out what I need to install these H115i coolers?
I'm happy to pay for an accessory adapter kit or whatever, but I don't want to delay my Ryzen build !!!
