Hey guys! Have you watched Tom's review of the Fractal Ark XL?

/snip/

He talks about a case which is due on the 23rd, which apparently has all the cool, "enthusiast" features (stuff that Tom likes ;) ) like 60mm thick rad on top and 80mm on the front etc...

Oh, and it's priced about 120 pounds ;)

I better get my wallet out then for both one of the 750D and a 350D.

Yesterday on the WAN show with Linus Tom said that he had with him a Corsair case "which he had correctly named in his 350D review", and that the case is "pretty good". He also offered Linus to do a joint kinda shit like Linus does the unboxing and overview and then Tom does the full review, and Linus kinda didn't disagree...

Why the hell would you get that thing instead of a arc midi R2 ?, which is one of the best WC case around.

Well if that is directed towards "me", then I'd say because there's no Fractal shit in my country - you need to import it. However, even if it was available, I'd still probably not go for it, because of the availability of much better (overall) cases out there.... at least in my eyes.

Well the question first was why you would get the Arc XL (big and clumsy case with only more expansion slots) rather then the just as well equipped Arc midi R2 which is cheaper and not that much smaller ?

To be clear, I'd get neither.... for my own reasons in addition to the ones I already mentioned. That said, the idea is not to get a bigger or smaller case, but a case which can accommodate the hw the specific user wants. As such, as the names suggest, the two cases are targeted towards either ATX or XL-ATX mb owners. So, if one has a huge mb and tons of gpu and addon cards, the XL would make more sense than a cheaper case.

That was a big -snip- screw up for the Tec Syndicate. I wonder if Corsair will send them any more stuff for review.

From what I saw of the 750D it looks just like a smaller 900D, the one thing that really caught my eye was the SSD mounts on the back behind where the drive bays are. To me however small is optimal, I love my 350D :D

Yeah, most of the review sites took down the "news". Ocaholic says the price is 249.99USD in contrast to NCIX's 169USD. I also found a "cache" of the TPU news which also says 249.99USD. Anyway, it looks like it is what I thought it would be, but without any front ventilation grills like in the 650D, and no 200mm fans. No latch on the side panels for quick removal either, which looked great too. Unfortunately I can't bring myself to like this one as much as I wanted to. I guess it's gonna be an NZXT for me after all.
