Hey guys! Just today I heard about the Corsair Obsidian 750D.

Apparently some online retailers in Australia were selling it already. But now they either say "page doesn't exist", or just "unavailable". However, one kiwi retailer still has it "showcased"... albeit with a 13th sep availability tag.

So, the point is, since this case does appear to be a not-a-hoax, and Tom being such close to Corsair, don't you think he should be the one doing the first review for us? Do you think he already has a reviewers' sample himself? I hope he does. I'm planning on a new Haswell build soon, and I had the NZXT Phantom 630 in mind, but if this 750D is as affordable as the 650D and is a *PROPER* update, then I may have to rethink...

Anyway, would love to hear what you guys think, and more importantly, may be something Tom would like us to know? :p

That's a very cool looking case , I wish they had some more info on it.
There is no word on it on Corsair's webpage , I hope it's not a hoax.
It kind of looks like the 350D , maybe it's a misprint.

It's not a hoax and not a 350D or anything else. I have seen pictures of the case in packaging, and enough labeling to know it's not a hoax. I initially posted some links too, but I was told it's not a good idea to link to other review sites. It's real alright. I bet Tom knows. The real question is, when he's gonna do it. Some say the NDA will be over before mid Sept.

I'm hoping they re-do the 650D - or at least a standard ATX case with this style and a big window.

This does look really good - but considering it's full tower, I'm a bit concerned it'll be a little too big.

I just revisited Tom's review of the Corsair 350D and at 32:30 in there is a comparison between the 350D and the 900D.
He also adds a comment about what could come next, and guess what! He gets the model spot on. He must be very close with Corsair! Don't you think.

Ya think!

BTW its not the 13th..... bit later than that

Tom, may be you can talk Corsair into letting you do a quick preview, like in Rushkit?

I wonder whether you'll actually be able to watercool in it. The 650D was very limited without modding, and the 800D on the otherside was a beast for watercooling. I think it'll be interesting to see it either way :)

Well, it's a friggin full tower, and it should AT LEAST support a 360 in push-pull at the top. Otherwise it's definitely gonna be an NZXT for me. Speaking of which, I wonder why Tom didn't do the Phantom 630. Is it because there's a written version on the site?

Wished they made this version instead.

Hey guys! Have you watched Tom's review of the Fractal Ark XL?

He talks about a case which is due on the 23rd, which apparently has all the cool, "enthusiast" features (stuff that Tom likes ;) ) like 60mm thick rad on top and 80mm on the front etc...

Oh, and it's priced about 120 pounds ;)

If this is the price of a 750D then wow

Yep. I re-watched the video, and he does say the Fractal costs about 104.95 pounds, and users looking for thick rads on top might as well spend another 15 pounds on the "better" case that is supposed to pop up on the 23rd :)

Sounds like it will be a very strong rival for the switch 810 as whatever case it is sounds like it will have a similar feature set but undercut on price. if it is the 750D and holds up usual Corsair standards on their obsidian range then it could be a big seller.

Imagine a better 650D with internal usb 3 header, 60mm rad on top (+more), modular drive cages, great price!
