Corsair Neutron GTX vs Samsung 850 Evo

The Neutron GTX was phenomenal when it came out but as you say it's getting old and the pricing doesn't seem to have moved with the times. Corsair just released the Neutron XT which in the UK at least is cheaper than the GTX and the 850 Pro right now, just a little more than the EVO. I bought an XT and the performance is great, exactly as claimed.
The GTX faired well in the epic SSD endurance test but as the Samsung 840 Pro is still standing at 2PB you really can't fault the quality there either, not that the test means much as every manufacturer will have variances between every drive. Everything in the test obliterated the manufacturer specs. But if Samsungs claims are to believed the 850 should be even better than the 840. I wouldn't spend more on the GTX, even as a samsung hater, it just doesn't make sense but if the XT is available to you at a similar cost to the 850 EVO maybe give that some thought.

Unfortunately the XT isn't available here in Sweden :/... So which one would you recommend then?, since the GTX is the cheapest one at the moment.
Btw, do you work or what?... how can you afford all of your beasts of hardware? (If I may ask of course)

Get the Evo.. Price difference isn't worth it for the GTX.. unless its for the OS. If it is for the OS the GTX is the more reliable option but even then they are newer and better ssds for that.
I thought you said the GTX is 600kr more than the Samsung? If that is whats available to you then go for the Samsung but their are other good options too like HyperX 3K's, here at least. I've never looked for an SSD in sweden. Loads of people have the Samsung drives and seem to be happy, I just hate samsung so you'll never get a personal 'what would you do' recommendation from me. It's mostly irrational granted but still I don't like their whole magician software, rapid mode, ram cache style.
I'm a final year uni student, I worked last summer to buy a few toys. I don't drink, own a car or do anything else particularly expensive besides eat. I try and sell things before they've lost too much value and buy the right things at the right time, the 290X and 780Ti were epic buys.

I've never really "trusted" other brands than the "Big" well known boys, Samsung and Corsair... Is HyperX any good? :huh:
And yeah, it seems it is more expensive hehe
I don't drink either, I do own a car and I do waiste money on uneccessary things as soon as my salary rolls in... I really need to break this bad pattern and start saving money.
I just want to be done with my PC, leave it be for a year or so and maybe upgrade some small things.
Sell things, such as?... and when do you know it's the "right" time to buy then?...
Btw, is the Sapphire R9 290X really worth the extra 700kr over the smaller 290?...
Well this might sound weird to you and most... but I see you as an inspiration when it comes to saving money and getting the right stuff at the right time etc.

HyperX is Kingston's premium SSD brand-thing. I personally trust Kingston more then Corsair when it comes to SSD. I have a big pile of Corsair SSDs in the 'broken' pile at work. Granted they are slightly older models (the majority are F120&Force 120 Series 3s) but there has been a significantly higher fail level then the Kingston SSDs that we also use.

I used to use a 120GB HyperX3k on my OS drive.. and it's safe to say its been my fastest SSD in regards to booting(quite noiceable) out of all my drives. I don't use it anymore but it never once failed me. Hell i used it for over 2 and a half years constantly and it still had i believe(according to SMART data) 99% life remaining.

Would it be a point to get an HyperX to replace my Samsung 840 Pro?... In terms of booting.
Also, my friends PC boots in less than 5 seconds lol. He uses the Maximus ATX Six mobo, which has a feature that goes around the bios stuff on the boot and just straight to the windows thing.
JR, what do you think about this?, HyperX etc?...

I would get the 840 Pro over the HyperX. It's just a newer drive and it's consistently at the top of all benchmarks.
