corsair Link software corsing BSOD, can i use 860i without it?

i feel its more fitting here than the software thread, am i safe to use my ax860i without the link software?

i keep getting this wierd thing where it will try to ravage my SSD with tiny reads and writes till the system BSOD with "storport.sys+10d2" being the problem, after many driver switches i found someone else with the same problem as me and he said it was the corsair link. anyway, after uninstaling that i left my rig on overnight and it survived that, (redownloading games on a fresh windows instal) whilst before with the link software it would BSOD within 10 mins so im saying that the link software was the problem*


long story short are you able to use the ax860i without the link software? im scared the fan isn't going to start spinning and a small explosion occur

LOL its just a power supply.
The link software is just a fancy add on.
It will work just fine and exactly as it was intended without it.
