Hi guys,

I'm finalizing the last items to buy to finish my build. I am a step on the choice of cooler. After reviewing several reviews of Tom I wore my decision on the Corsair H100. I went on the Corsair forum and saw that some people had problems mounting with some motherboard. Unfortunately the Asus Rampage seems to be in the list.

I say seems because some guys do not seem to encounter problems. So I am officially lost

and I still use your experience to tell me if you know the problem.

Thank you again.

cards? fitting the h100 on an asus r4e should be straight forward enough, i recently fitting on to a asus sabertooth x79 and was simple, i would be more bothered about whether it can fit in your case easily enough?

Some people on the Corsair forum indicate do not install the H100 on the Rampage. The bindings of H100 are not those on the Rampage. They twist and file their bindings to get there. That surprises me a lot that is why asking for your opinion. Here is the link.

Kilobravo I do not have the skills to make myself a watercooling.

That's why my choice is brought to the H100.

I have noticed manny x79 mobo`s are bundled with H100.

If you can make your own pc,it will be easy to install a wc-kit.It comes with all things needed.

I build my PC for over 10 years but I never tried to make my own watercooling. I do not know what to buy to make it or how to get started.

I will look on the forum if there is a guide to see how to do.

I guess the price will be more expensive than the H100. The H100 is available in France at a cost of 95euros.

that thread suggests to me that it will fit fine onto the r4e but it might just take a bit of wiggling of the screws nothing major

Depending on the case file attachments just to catch up the gap. In other cases it is necessary to bend the brackets and sometimes there were breaks.

There may of cooling model compatible with the LGA 2011 and if I miss the operation i'm down for a long time.

Thank you for your help anyway.

Doesn't the R4e come with an interchangeable back plate so you can use your old LGA1366 coolers? I have a H100 on an R3e and it works perfectly. Note it also came with VERY different MB stand off screws especially for LGA2011. The guys on the forums @Corsair sound like a bunch of amateurs. It will work, you just need to us the right parts to make it work and enough patients when you have used the wrong combo to stop and try something else rather than forcing it and breaking it.

On the new vidéo of Tom, we can notice that it uses a configaration pretty close to mine and it uses an H100. I think if he had a problem he would have said.

I returned to the Corsair forum and I feel they have found the problem: attachments sometimes have defects in some series and the guy who takes care of quality control is blind.

Some attachments that would go to the garbage have been sold anyway.
