Corsair Gamer Series Power Supplies Get a Makeover

I have just seen this and thought I would post for those who may not have seen it.

The Corsair Gamer Series Power Supplies (GS) come in 3 editions 600w,700w and 800w. They have recently been upgraded both aesthetically and the power supply itself. The gamer series stands out from other models due to the LED cooling fan inside the PSU, which can be changed from White to Red and Blue. However the GS600 only has a blue LED fan.

The Power Supplies are now 80 Plus Bronze rated and the housing has been much improved to give a more industrial look.

Man, what is it with making things look cheap and tacky to grab 12 year old kids attention... I guess I kind of answered my own question... But yea, add LEDs, make it look like tacky and you'll sell loads

Tbh the original ones look better I have the 700w, these are ugly. Since this was my first pc build and it was at best buy I just bought it since I didn't know much of power supplies other than wattage and knew that Corsair was a good company. Looking back if I could do it again I would probably get an ax 850w or something so I could SLI in the future. However the LEDs inside the PSU do make a somewhat unique approach as it lights up the inside of the psu and looks different inside the case rather than having something like alchemy strips lighting up around the psu.

And the fan on this is silent but working with the non modular is quite a hassle I still managed to get everything extremely neat and you can't see any excess cabling from the front of the case other than the stuff coming directly out the psu.

I personally use the blue LED if anyone was wondering, sometimes I go red since the top of my case has blue led fans it gives a sort of half n half effect.

Probably easy enough to disable the LED in it..... SNIP !

Casing isn't that horrible....

Front should be flat like the sides, the grooved appearance doesn't look good..

If its anything like the old ones the button on the back changes between colours for the leds and you can turn them off.
