Corsair Dominator GT

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to get Corsair Dominator GT 8gig 2000mhz on an amd with a crosshair IV board i keep seeing people say its better to have lower timings then higher mhz and the 8gig GTs run at 9-10-9 1.65V

I have the corsair dom TW3X4G1333C9D 1333 9-9-9 1.5V (not sure of the name i think they are called dom XM3) running at about 1333 at 7-7-7 (had them at 1000 6-6-6 before but i think this is faster)

If the GTs are infact better would thye be able to get to say 7-7-7 at 2000mhz? i could even go lower (never had ram above 1333 before) to say 1600 if the timings could get lower and be about the same as stated timings

If not should i just think about getting some lower timing 1600s?

You can get it to work but its a pain to be honest. I sold just recently 1090T. I gave a decend ammount of tries with 2000mhz ram and at the end I decided to go for 1600 tight timings dominators (7- 8-7-20) and loved it.

And by the way, I dont think you will get even close to 7-7-7 with these GTs.

Actually they are a complete waste of money if you're not looking for sky high overclocks

Ill doubt youll get much over 1600 stable on an AMD mobo. not worth wasting money on. Just get 6-8-6-24 Mushkin 1600MHz kit
