Previously it's been reported all over the place that the 3930 was an EE too but these new Intel slides don't have it down as an EE.

Least it won't cost a grand.

I think initially that's the sweet spot, but then there are only 3 to choose from, and the cheapest has the locked multi

I'm sure there will be far faster and other better value chips, everything costs a lot when its brand new

You might have an eternal wait, initial Ivy Bridge chips are backwards compatible with LGA1155 only. Unless they did an Ivy Bridge E or something

So that particular name may have been something to do with the clocks? gawd knows. Never ask a scientist his methodology.

I'm sure there will always be exceptions, like the 3930X wouldn't match up. Maybe somebody from Intel should say something. God knows it will be in binary though.
