CoolIT announce 4870 X2 LCS System

What temps is this thing giving? I always think coolit tecs are too weak for cpu's but they might be a legitimate solution for gpu's IF the price isn't stupidly high (like all coolit gear).

They were rather vague in their press release, while they did mention the overclocks achieved, they didn't mention operating temps at those clocks.

Indicating mediocre results, like they didn't mention the price becasue it's going to be high.

Is that all? My 8800GS's GDDR3 is running faster than that.

It's running faster than 4GHz effective??? Don't tink so :p

But surely if they aint good enough for CPU's then they aint gonna be good enough for these 4870X2's as get so hot? Would it overload the TEC's more than a CPU would?

Seen the EK block for the 4870X2 earlier... Looks nice :yumyum:

I was thinking quad cores, OC'd with more voltage. The tdp on them is incredible. Suppose you could be right mate...

Is the EK block £100?

€119 I saw it for... Dunno what the exact £ is gonna be... Aqua? WCUK??

I was just guessing on the heat output mate... Just seemed logical to me but then what you've said is also logical..

Would send Spock to meltdown!

Here we go.. Available as of the 20th apparently.
