Coolermaster Haf X?

I thought it was released today? My mistake lol. I thought if it was released today you would have a review either now or soon. You looking to get your hands on one?

We always look to get our hands on everything that is new and of interest.

Of course wishing for something, and the manufacturers having a spare one to send, are two different things.

Patience is a virtue. I'd hazard a guess that it will perform similarly to others in the HAF range, and so the looks will be the main point of desire/repulsion.

Certainly looks like it! I have seen a review of it done in America and it was literally added to the Coolermaster UK site today, but it's not on sale anywhere that I can find, not even in the US who always seem to get stuff before us.

He probably used it because it has enough backplate slots to run 4 cards and keep the whole thing cool. Just imagine using that lot without the HAF type airflow... Interesting vid about the power supply though.

LOL if I ever got a 480 and it would only ever be one, there's no way I'd run it on air I'd have to watercool it just to cut out noise and heat and let it perform like the brute it is.

Lol, one day you'll playing Metro 2033 at playable framerates, then 1600 years later someone is excavating your charred fossil out of hardened ash. Sounds like a good way to go :P

I think they should sell that with the card itself. An informal history of Mount Vesuveus, enjoy your 3rd degree burns!

This is very true. I can't stress how awesome my 840 would be if all the insides were already black instead of shiny silver.

Lol it is rather ugly and will cost more than the 932 which is still a well performing case, but obviously it doesn't come with a window and has a grey (eurgh) interior. On the note of watercooling, I spied this photo on the CM website and it looks like the top struts have spacings for at least a 240mm rad in the roof, but you can't see properly if it has the 360mm rad fittings the 932 has.

I watched some video reviews on it, and according to them it supports a 360 rad in the top.

And btw, it is much better than the 932. Here's why: black interior, better cable management, dust filters, hot swap drives, 4-way SLI support, etc etc. :P

I don't really agree it's that much better tbh. Sure, black interior is nice, but cos the 932 is already powdercoated you can just spray paint it black if you want for not very much at all.

From pictures I've seen the cable management is actually identical to the point they probably haven't even changed the mobo tray.

Sure 4-way SLi is cool, but how many of us can actually afford it? and the mobo's that support it aren't very good in overall performance for the stupid price you pay. Besides if you can afford 4 cards why would you bother with a steel case like this? You'd almost certainly pick something more expensive like a Silverstone.

Yeah the single hotswap sata dock is pretty cool, but essentially useless, as hotswaps are for servers really where you have more than 1 HDD in the set up making it useful for removing a single defective drive.

Basically, unless it comes out at a similar price to the 932, I don't think there's a lot of point in this update, but maybe I'm biased cos that thing is UUUUUGLY.
