Cooler Master HAF 912 Advanced i7 2600k SSD Build 56k Death

That's a nice OC :)
May I ask, how do you find the side 140mm fan? I had the exact same fan in the same place on my case, and thought it was a noisy little devil! Seems the 140mm Noctuas are the noisiest, in my own experience.

Thanks its good for the volts I can do 5.0ghz but uses way to much voltage to get there.

With the fan on my CPU cooler it was very quite, when mounted in side fan spot it's really loud but its due to the air turbulence sucking through the perspex slots.

I found the filter I have installed cut alot of noise down with minimal air loss.

Also I run all fans from the Asus Fan Xpert software via fan headers on the mobo so when under 30Deg the case fans only do 40% speed.

The Noctua P14 is a bit noisier that the thermalright TY-140's but not by much.

UPDATE:

So I have finally got Sleeved extensions on my PCIE cables 24 Pin & 8 Pin cable plus my Gigabyte GTX670 and removed my DVD Drive so I could install another 120mm fan in the drive bays.

And with the side fan on

Very tidy, quiet rig, nice one :D

Thanks, the best part is when I come out of a game and the CPU fans go back to 21% speed, Case fans 40% speed & the GPU goes to 20% speed and all you can hear is the faint squeal electronic circuitry doing it's thing

So I have done a few more things to my build.

Got some Corsair AP Fans 120mm & 140mm silent one's to be exact. Flow a little less air than Noctua's they replaced but are also a little bit quiter at full rpm also.

Also got a EVGA 680 Backplate put on which is mostly hidden by the Noctua cooler.

Finally added 2x Bitfenix alchemy 30cm White light strips & well it's bright, so bright that im looking at a LED dimmer controller on ebay.

I have also placed them in spots that light the case up without shining into my eyes while using the comp. If I don't get a dimmer i will be putting a switch on it.

Nice job, but the new fans kinda look out of place. Replace the red rings with some blue ones and it should look better imo :)

Yeah I tried the Blue and red.

Blue makes sense because of the motherboard and Ram are blue.

Red makes sense because front LED Fan & SSD are red.

It looked more out of place with the blue rings but I might try again later to see.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I just noticed the blue on the motherboard more for some reason. I think you should leave it :)

Slight update.

A few things have changed over the last year.

-Gone to a Samsung 830 256gb

-Have ditched the LED lights.

-Running Blue rings on corsair Fans

-Got a second 670 for SLI action

-Got sick of the air turbulence noise being produced by the side intake fan at full speed. So I ordered a DEMCI 140mm magnetic filter and have put it on the side and removed the intake fins that come standard these created alot of air turbulence.

Just need to grab another set of 6pin/8pin PCIE extenders for the second GPU then will update with better pics.

Id say this will be it for this rig for a while with SLI 670's and a 2600k running 4.5ghz it should be OK for another 1-2 years maybe :)

So long time no update cause not much has changed until now.

I have added a Samsung 850 Pro and have gone from 2x 670's in SLI to the single 1070's and have been able to run every game with full settings+4xMSAA and gain 30-50fps depending on game compared to having to reduce setting's and MSAA due to a 2gb Vram in the 670's.

The card is the MSI Gaming 1070 and its OC'd to 2050 Core and 8800mhz Memory.

Card runs at idle 45-50deg with fans at 0% and on load 65-70deg with fans at 50-60% with zero noise increase (ambient of 27deg)

Very happy with the performance increase noise and aesthetics.
