Universal blocks are soso tbh, full cover blocks work all the better but if your a cheap so and so they arent an invalid option, but you would need stick on HS for the VRM's/memory chips so ruining the flashy look of this particular universal block, plus on top of that you would need a fan blowing over the card via the side pannel or similar so it kinda negates going for a flashy block like this, a simple looking full cover block all the way tbh.

opps, didn't see the other thread, my bad.
as for universal blocks, well two things: 1. they actually cool better (the core i mean)
2. they are needed for non ref. cards like my 580 matrix for example.
