Converting m3/h to CFM

Fans - I want quiet ones that will work with my w/c. Looking around noise is always handily given in db.

Airflow is given in either CFM and m3/h (haven't come across anything else yet)... I don't know how these compare! They could be the same for all I know lol...

So anyone able to assist?

Thanks in advance :worship:

Llwyd messed up,sorry i was in college and preoccupied

m³/h into CFM

step 1:

1 meter = 3.28084 ft

1m³ = 3.28084 x 3.28084 x 3.28084

3.28084³ = 35.31 cubic feet

so 1m³ = 35.31 ft³ (sounds large i know but draw a diagram and it will make sense)

therefore you need to multiply your m value by 35.31 to obtain your CF / ft³

once done however youre still looking at hours, so divide your CF value by 60 and there you have it.

example:

59m³/h

59 x 35.31 = 2083.29 CF/h

2083.29 / 60 = 34.72 CFM

CFM into m³/h

you take your CFM (34.72) and divide it by the no of cubic feet in 1m³ - 35.31

43.72 / 35.31 = 0.98 (m³/min)

then convert into hours (multiply by 60)

0.98 x 60 = 59 (a calculator will give slightly less due to inconsistent numbers of decimal places:rolleyes: )

can someone please delete my previous (and very incorrect) posts ?
