confused about these RAMs

Im looking to upgrade my ram and im looking around to find a better upgrade.
my current ram is the gskill ripjaws 2x4gb 1600 kit. I want to upgrade to 16gb and possibly get better speed. I've found this rams from Corsair and ill use scan.co.uk for price reference

can someone explain why the first link has 2400 speed yet its cheaper. I've notice the timings are different but would it make any difference? and also i only know corsair and gskill for good rams but sure there are better ones isnt?

The 1866Mhz kit has better timings and only uses 1.5Volts instead of the 1.65v the 2400 MHz kit uses.

What exactly will you be using your PC for?

I use Adobe AF, photoshop, lightroom, and manga studio frequently if this information helps.

What are the timings of the RAM you are using now ?

If you can afford it then I would highly suggest the 2400MHZ kit from Corsair, Haswell *4770K* loves fast memory

yeah i can but it has higher timings than the 1866 mhz and its cheaper too

What are the timings of the RAM you are using now ?

9-9-9-24 on my current one

For gaming, there's no real reason to go much higher than 1866, but as you mentioned you also do editing you might see a slight performance increase from faster RAM.

If they would've cost the same; I'd say get the 2133MHz kit cause it will put less stress on the memory controller, but since the 2400MHz kit is actually cheaper you might as well go for that.

Edit; The brand doesn't matter too much. Most memory chips actually come from the same factory so there's won't be much of a quality difference as long as you go with a respectable brand like Corsair, Kingston, Crucial, G.Skill, Adata, Avexir, Mushkin or Patriot.

I can strongly recommend the Avexir 16GB Core Series 2133Mhz RAM.. I've had a play on two different kits and managed to overclock them from 2133 (9-10-10-24) to 2400Mhz -10-12-12-31

so the timings and voltages for the 2400mhz kit doesnt matter?
