Conflicting Specifications

Hey everyone,

I've been looking for a new monitor to go with my new build for weeks and had finally settled on an LG 1080p HD monitor. But after more research I've found many conflicting specification documents around the web. For example on Amazon it tells me one contrast ration and HDMI ports and on another website completely different specifications. The monitor I wanted to buy was the "[font=tahoma, arial, sans-serif]LG E2281VR-BN LCD LED Full HD 22" HDMI Monitor" which is £123 on Ebuyer and £134 on amazon [/font]

[font=tahoma, arial, sans-serif]LG's website says that the monitor has 10M dynamic contrast and Amazon and Ebuyer both say 5M in the description (Ebuyer says 10m on the title. [/font]

[font=tahoma, arial, sans-serif]I have a MAXIMUM budget of £150 and wondered if the monitor above is worth the money or if anyone can recommend me a monitor around this price range [/font]

The higher figure are/ is probably dynamic so use the lower figures as a benchmark of what you'll actually get for your money rather than some distorted figure drawn up by the same people who work out how much tax you owe.

Actual contrast ratios are more like 1:1000 and 1:3000. Also take refresh rate in to consideration. Some cheap monitors have good resolution and contrast but ghost badly.
