computer issues again

well not really to sure where to start or how to explain the issue but ill give it ago.

the issue is that every now and then the computer loses video output and that all the fans come on at 100% but there seems to be no set thing that makes it happen ie you can be surfing the net and it will do it one day and the next day it will do it when your gaming. when it loads back up fine

im unsure where the problem could lie but its really starting to bug me now. the issue has only start since i got my replacement SSD from kingston so i have check all the plug are in the motherboard as they should be and making good contact (incase i knocked something while fitting the SSD) and made sure all the drivers are up to date.

any advice on this would be helpful and id also be grateful

Motherboard: - Gigabyte GA-z68-ud5-b3
CPU: - Intel core i5 2500K
GPU: - Sapphire HD6850 Toxic
SSD: - Kingston Hyper X (the older blue version)

Sounds to me like the display driver is crashing seeing as the fans go up. Do you get a pop up about it? Is it overclocked? Also is it properly in the slot?

all the fans in the pc speed up inc the cpu, gpu and chassis fans. it could be i have tried installing it again but seems to have made no difference and also checked for any new drives but its up to date. no i get no pop up error messages or anything. the card is not overclocked nor is the cpu. im pretty sure it is in the slot but i will remove and refit just incase

Oh i thought it was just the gpu fan that was going up. In that case i'm not really sure.

the display popping off isnt uncommon mine does it from time to time. But the fans sounds like something else. Do you have all your fans hooked up to the mobo headers???

yes im sure my old gpu used to stop out puting video every now and then but never did the fan speed increase when it happend tho. yes at the moment the fans are all on the motherboard

I would try resetting the cmos.

tried that this morning and it seems to have made no difference what so ever.

do you think it could be an issue with the motherboard?

hmm i done a bios update when i first got my SSD and that was the latest one but ill check see if there is a new one

Edit: - just updated the bios and will keep you posted on how things go
