I reciently saw a thread related to this, but i want help on the compents I will use.

Here are my components:

Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4Ghz going to try to overclock to 3-4 Ghz)

Nvidia 7950 Gx2

Corsair XMS 2X1 Gb DDR2 800

AUSU P5N32-SLI Premium Mother Board

Thermaltake Toughpower 750 watt PSU with a 250 watt dual pci express ps

and Of Course a Prometeia Mach II Phase Changer with enlight tower.

What suggestions do you guys have for me??

Why an Enlight tower when you could go with an personalised and/or anodised Lian Li or totally custom case?

I think the asus p5b will be better suited to unleash the power of a 6600 under phase, unless the asus you listed is a better clocker than all previous intel sli mobo's,it will severly limit your overclock.

Well the reason why i went with an enlight tower was that it matches the mach II to start. I i went with a Lian Li i would have to buy the Lian Li Aluminium Kit to match it. I just dont have any more $$$$ to spend 100 on a case and 200 on a kit.

ALso i compared the asus p5b to the p5n-sli premium MB. The first problem with the asus p5b is that it doesn't support SLI.

Here are the facts for the asus p5b:

FSB:100 - 400MHz

Memory:533 - 1066 MHz

Here are the facts for the p5n-sli premium

FSB:133-600MHz

Memory:533-1066MHz

It looks like the memory overclock for both of them are the same however the p5N gets an extra 200MHz on the FSB.

What do you think??

They're not the facts as far as I know them...

In my P5B Deluxe BIOS I think that the FSB goes to 650MHz?

Unless you're quoting that old P5B board?

I didn't realise you wanted sli support,as you only have one 7950gx2 listed, and that would be fine on p5b.Just because a bios has an option to set 600fsb,does not mean the chipset will allow you to use it all.I must admit though,i know very little about the sli board you are considering, but all previous sli boards for intel have been very poor for overclocking.
