Compatability???

Hi,

I have updated an old existing thread but not getting anywhere with responses on it so thought I would try a new one.....

I have an ASUS M2N32 SLi-Deluxe mobo and was in the process of buying the AMD Phenom 9850 chip for my new build.

BUT!!

Just seen/heard that AMD have now brought out the 9950 chip for nearly the same price. Is it worth going for the newer version? And is it still compatible with my mobo??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is simply a higher clocked version of the same chip (they are both B3). If they are nearly the same price, yeah, go for it.

AMD Phenom 9950 is now on order. Should get it approx Wednesday this week!
