without checking the prices , without laying ur statement on any base , why do you even post nicks ???
Say he sells his 6800gt today , gets about 250 for it. He adds another 100 bucks and gets an xfx / bfg / evga 7800gt for that money. Which will be FASTER than his sli , lower on the powerconsumption and heat his case lesser .
Now if he buys another 6800gt , his setup will be adequate for say another year at its best . He spends 289 today , for something which he will have to get rid of in a year's time at MUCH lesser price than what he can get for his 6800gt today. Then he dishes out MORE cash for a high end next gen card.
See the trend here ????
Not to mention he will have to spend 120 bux for a powerstream if he goes sli , rather than 78 for the tagan if he gets the 7800gt. So essentially 7800GT is a win win situation here . His parts are relatively new and can get him some decent money in the market today rather than almost nothing a year down the road. Its called keeping your losses limited.
