After a little digging in some chinese forums I have stumbled across this completely MAD 680 due to be released soon by Korean vendor Colorful..

Comes with everthing you could ever need to customize your GPU (including paint) and a OutBoard VRM just incase you need to give the card a little extra Voltage whilst overclocking...

Also includes extra heatsinks for your cooling needs but beware, this card needs two eight pin connectors and when fully loaded with all the heatsinks will take up considerable space in your case...

Never seen these cards in Europe before so once released you may have to source the card in Korea or China.....

WANT, though strangely don't at the same time though I'd love to have a play around with it.

Stupid design. Why would someone interested in ocing the card as high as possible choose some extra passive heatsinks over water, ln2 etc? They wouldn't.

Gimmick is gimmick and heavy. Very heavy.

Yep very gimicky but I wouldnt go as far to say Stupid, what appeals to us in the west may not appeal to those in the east....

They did have the fastest 560ti on the market though.. Outta the box @ 1010mhz.. Maybe we shall see some records with the 680 too!!

Maybe because it comes with a daughter board which plugs into the back with a beefed up VRM system to aid O/Cing.

I'm not questioning the cards ability in the power department. I'm bemused by the choice in the cooling department. If you need to dissipate all this heat, why choose several heavy passive heatsinks hanging off your pci slot?

The people who designed this are loopy.

Because not everybody has DICE or LN2,, maybe this is why ??
