CoD4 server PB problems

Hello ppl at OCD3.

I have been playing on your server for 1 month and it kinda grew on me. I always kept comming on it to play with awesome players. But today something changed,i kept receiving the "This server's IP address is BANED by punkbuster".

I have been playing here without any problems,until the thing i mentioned above.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention that my in-game name is SiLenT

If someone has a solution,i would be very gratefull.

this was bound to happen..... the server was cracked as i had suspected earlier.......

Now the only way it seems is to change server IP....... or use some pb fix tht is available for this particular problem....... the fix can only be used frm the client side.....

the server should be made legit(with a diff IP now)........ this will stop cheaters risking their legit keys......
 
If someone tells me what to do I'll do it. I dont want ot change the servers IP though as it is too popular for that.

If people also want a 'legit' server I can set up another one on a different port.
 
there is no other way.... other than changing the IP of the server...... evenbalance.com stores the IP's of cracked servers........ so even if we change to legit the server will stay banned.......

Pls make the server legit with new IP........ 90% of r cheats problem will be solved!:D

Dont worry...... we'll sort it out soon......

BTW the PB fix thing doesnt seem to work for me........ so as it is I am out of the server........ tht PB lag sends me to 999ms ping!:eek:
 
Any idea if it is blocking IP or the IP+Port? IP addresses aint easy to come-by. 212.69.36.85 is what is assigned to our gameserver and we have no others spare right now.

I can set up a new server on a different port, but if this is still going to be blocked, then we could well be screwed.

this ban by punkbuster is IP or IP+port bound........ just looking at the warning msg, it seems IP bound, so whichever port u try, it will stay banned...... but this is just my estimation.... i'll c wht more I can find abt it

I understand tht IP's r hard to come by...... but in case u do get the server setup on new IP then make sure its legit....... otherwise PB will ban it again..... & we'll be back to square 1.....

Also u dont need to solve this in a hurry...... am sure the other admins hav diff views of solving this....... I'll be interested in finding out wht they say..
 
Yeah please find out whatever you can. I _may_be able to free up a different IP address if we REALLY need to. But I'll wait for a bit more info before doing anythign drastic.

it would be nice mate, if u can help us fix this problem........ other than the IP change......
 
ill do anything necessary panzer u name it...this server cant die like this u know how long i iv been playing on this server..... i have seen a server which the servers ip has been banded by pb and it had 42 players playing on it somehow but i was the only 1 that was getting the server ip pb ban message and it kept freezing every 1sec like this server maybe the other players werent using puck buster mmm i dont know ill try and find that server just to show ppl.
 
there is a fix for this warning..... Punkbuster Got Busted v1.5/1.6

u can try it if u want....... I tried it but couldnt make it work...... apparently the fix doesnt work on Vista/7 x64...... so I couldnt make it work......

the fix will remove the warning msg as well as the ANNOYING LAG!:mad:
 
I've disabled PB on the server as a temporary measure. I'm not sure if this is going to make any difference (please let me know), but if it does at least we can keep it this way until we find a fix.
 
panzer the "Punkbuster Got busted" file doesn't work for me,but i have found a new,yet simple solution. Since PB is disabled on the server,go to options turn Punkbuster off and Downloading off.Next step exit the game and go to the Call of Duty 4 folder(where u installed the game) and rename the "pb" to something else. This works for me.Hope this helps to other players. Cheers :)

This is just temporary situation...... PB will be turned ON again sometime later(cause of all the hacks)....... so its better to get the PB fix working.......
 
well my call of duty folder is on hard disk E not on the regular C.

Do i have to install it in the CoD4 folder? I have it installed on C but i can't copy the files from C to E where the pb folder is. oh and one more thing the file i download has a folder also named pb.so if i install it to the CoD 4 i will overwrite it the original punkbuster.

Plz help me how u did ut. Thanks :D
