Just pre-order it through EA's Origin store or D2D or something
Not sure how that's a good thing. I've never been a fan of the BF series so I wouldn't have bought anyway, but cutting out the largest DD site is plain stupid business sense. I guess it probably won't hurt their sales in the long run, people will install origin just to buy and play the game just like how Half-Life 2 pushed Steam.

A while ago it was announced that Battlefield 3 had hit 700% more pre-orders than Bad Company 2, that number has now increased to 1,000%. In EA's Q1 2012 report, it was revealed that BF3's pre-order count had jumped another 300%. There's no static figure publicly available, but we're expecting this number to be rather large. In BC2's first month of release, 2.3 million units were sold. So with a little creative accounting, one could produce a number of estimated pre-order counts for Battlefield 3 somewhere in the low seven-digit range.

I've totally given up with Cod, I just get pounded into the ground on that and BF2.

Tbh with how things are these days I very much doubt that the option will be there for OC3D to have their own server.I would love to be on a OC3D server again,the COD4(and to a lesser extent CSS) were great back in the day(although ad mining the 'tards away got to be a chore).
But tbh I do not know how this applies to MW3 yet,as they have still not officially confirmed dedis yet(apart from a couple of throwaway quotes at E3 this year,which mean squat).My heart is set on BF3 tbh and I hope the server restrictions are not too bad,so that we can have our own 64p server(plz god) that will last for as long as the good BF2 servers(which are still going now).
