Hey there guys, finished my brand new gaming rig on the 3rd of January, pretty chuffed with it myself, so I'd thought I'd crack out the camera and share my experience with you all!

Here's the specs:

CPU: Intel I7-3930K @3.20GHz (stock)

MB : AsusRampageIVExtreme

RAM:Mushkin Blackline 2133Mhz (4 x 4GB)

GPU: Asus GTX 580 Matrix Platinum x2 in SLI

Storage : 1TB HDD

200GBHDD

120GB SSD (OCZ Vertex 3)

PSU: Corsair AX1200

Cooling: Corsair H100

Case: CM Storm Trooper

Extras: Red BitFenix Alchemy braided Power cable extensions

2x Cooler Master Sickleflow 120mm Red LED Fans (side mounted)

Samsung Blu-Ray drive

Card Reader

Microsoft Xbox Controller Reciever

This is the 4th computer I've built, 2nd for myself! Haha I used to have a AMD Phenom II X6 1090t, along with a Asus Radeon HD5850, did me fine, but the performance on games, was somewhat lacking, so I decided to burrow deep and build myself a new rig. The performance I have now over the predecessor is unbelievable, not only is a single GTX 580 better than the 5850 but I have two of them!! ;D I recommend all of these components, due to the fact that the entire system took less than 5/6 hours to build, cable management and all.

I haven't had the time to overclock it. Honestly I'm just enjoying of how fast it is over the old Phenom 1090t haha, I'm getting used to the board too! Haha. I'll hopefully share some benches with you guys soon but anyway here are some pictures.

**UPDATE**

Thanks to mrDMxtreme I did a mod to my GTX 580's to make the LEDs on them permanently red, Looks even better now, check it out;

I really like it. Excellent cable management, shame you can't see it from the outside.

Thanks man! Considering buying the sidepanel window IF it's released or has been, haven't really looked into it, but since the Rad is mounted so it gives active airflow to the northbridge I really need the intake from the side panel..

Got some things to sort out and some money to re-accumulate.. hahaha

Nicely done mate

Haha, thankfully, they're not all face and no trousers, if you know what I mean

Yeh, but if done right it separates a good lucking rig from an excellent looking rig (like yours).

Yeah! This is my 4th rig, as I mentioned, so I've had my experience with god-awful and decent! haha

Worst rig I have ever seen... Jokes.

Looks amazing

Haha, thanks man!

Very nice rig you got there mate!, very very similar to the rig im building, except with a few minor differences, ie. the case (600T SE) & possibly waiting for the 7*** graphics cards.

BTW hows the H100 going with cooling that monster of a CPU?

Thanks man! Yeah, you can't go far wrong with most of these components! Hah! I was considering waiting for the next gen Nvidia/ATI cards, but I figured I could go no longer with my 5850

The H100 does a fine job of the CPU. At stock, (which is what I have it at at the moment), Idles around 27-31 C and did a quick Prime95 for a hour and it reached about ~45 C. Have seen and read reviews of it running 4.7Ghz. So it CAN do it, haha.

Thats alright, I'm currently tossing up between the 3930K or the 3960X, but its double the price for the 3960X, is it really worth it?

If you've got the money to throw at it, go for it, but in my case, I saw that the money could go to a better place, the 3960X has 15MB of L3 Cache whilst the 3930K has 12MB, and the 3960X is 0.1Ghz faster, other than that you get a black intel case sticker!

Haha, personally I wouldn't recommend, but if you have the cash to throw at it, I'd say you would manage, but there's not any major performance loss, put it that way! Haha.

its a sweet build you got there, you should make the matrix leds stay red imo to match the rest of the stuff

and nice keyboard

got the same one

^+1 just swap the pins over in the light cable for the matrix sign, so you can choose what colours you want for which loads
