Hi well I am building me a ultra silent rig but the top fan of cm storm stryker case is a bit laud and was hoping some one had a good alternative fan.
I want 200mm to replace the top fan and would like the same size just a quieter fan.
Can any one help?

your posts rather than posting twice, thank you :)

There is a difference between the Spectre and Spectre Pro series. The Spectre Pros are considered some of the best 200mm fans available these days. There isn't an awful lot of choice in the 200mm segment anyway. The regular Spectre series will have lower RPMs so it'll probably be a bit quieter.

If you want an 'ultra silent' rig, you should change all of the fans cause the stock Trooper/Stryker fans are based on the Sickleflow fans which are loud and not that great. Obviously, you can also leave the 200mm out completely and heat will passively rise out of the top, while you still have a 140mm rear exhaust fan.

Am I correct in saying that the top fan are very load have other had this issue?
Thats a very good idea I could do that I could take out the fan at the top I think that the noised one in my case the other are not to bad I could like with them but I will consider taking the top fan out and seeing how that works and might consider changing the other fans at a later date. I have the fan controller set to very low.

Well, I have a CM Storm Trooper and to be honest; all the fans are too loud for me. Just run it without the top exhaust and see how that goes, this will also create positive air pressure.

If it's quiet enough for you, awesome. If you still want it to be a bit more quiet, replace the rest of the fans :)
