Hey guys

i'm doing some moving around, and my H100i will be going into a new Uni build thats currently in the planning process, but i was wonding if

this would be any good to cool the Phenom i have in my rig at the moment. Its cheap on Aria at the moment and while i'm away no one is going to be pushing it at all, infact i'll probably back off the OC to keep the temps down?

Basically does anything know if this is any good, and if not has anyone got any other suggestions on good air coolers that aren't expensive at all ;p (cheap-scape)

Also, i'm not sure if this would conflict with the Vengeance Ram i have in there at the moment...or whether i would need to swap that out for some low profile stuff.

I would spend a bit more and get a coolermaster 212 evo not much more expensive but it's one of the best air coolers out there for the price.

I would try and go for the Evo too, but the TX3 will be absolutely fine on a Phenom 965.

You shouldn't have any problems with RAM, iirc, the TX3 on most motherboards doesn't even overhang the RAM slots, but I'm not 100% sure if that'll be true in your case.

Which vengeance do you have? The high one or the LP stuff?

The HP stuff, just saw it on Aria under the deals thing, and i thought i'd get the forums thoughts on it. But it seems like CM 212 evo seems to be the way to go ;p

didn't realise there would be all that much difference in performance. all essentially a big heatsink with a fan ..... right

TX3 is a 92mm cooler where the 212 Evo is 120mm. It's quieter and cooler

Any cooler that fits on socket 1155/1156 will also fit on 1150.
