Links to updates as them come, they will probably be a little sporadic:
#1 - 6/6/13 - Pump sleeve and roof trimming.
#2 - 8/6/12 - More parts + a little more sleeving.

This project has been in the works/planning stages for way way to long, setback after setback for around 18 months when i started pulling bits together for it, the latest of which has been a house fire in may. (It actually started while i was in the process of ordering the last of the WC parts <_<)

The base of the project is the Gigabyte X58A-OC beauty housed in the 5 year old CM Cosmos S, The rest of the components consist of an i7 970, 3x2GB of G.Skill Trident 2000Mhz c9, and a pair of GTX 580's all powered by a Corsair AX850 that i will sleeve.

The water cooling is handled by Xigmatek XLF-F1253 fans on of a pair of Phobya G-Changer rads, the 1st in the 240 flavor and the 2nd a 360, a Phobya DC12-400 Pump, an Alphacool cape corp AGB2 res, and the direct cooling is handled by an XSPC Rasa with a pair of EK FC580 GTX+ in Acetal and fittings will be Alphacool Copper barbs and angled fittings all over.

Currently this is how the tower looks, yes i know the dust is awful and DAT cable management.

And the plan is to get something like this, the plan is to hide the tubing between the rads behind the top rad and down the back side of the drive bays. I'm sure it will change a bit as im going if i find something i don't like the looks of.

Some pics of the parts i have at hand.

The paracord for sleeving, ill most likely only use the lighter orange + black.

And the few parts i have at hand.

Stuff i have that isnt pictured are the 2nd set of AX power cables that ill be shortening/lengthening and sleeving, gpu blocks + EVGA 580 backplates that are currently over at the house somewhere in the room what we stuck a bunch of stuff in after the fire, ill be digging them out when im over there next.

The 360 rad + copper fittings are currently in the post.

I also need to order a copper bolt kit for the cpu block and some fluid but ill do that when its painted ready for assembly.

I cant wait for the results on this.

I am currently running in a Cosmos S aswell, not painted and it has a window panel from the Cosmos S1000 that was a cost option back then.

I might have some inspirational photo's for you, i cut 2 holes in the mobo tray for cable management and it looks like this.

When i get further into the project ill see how the hole where the mesh sits looks as a window, if i don't like the look of it (im 95% sure i wont) ill be fitting a plate in and making a smaller window that doesnt show any of the drive bays, just the component section.

As for cable management ive got 2 ideas atm, the first is a hole slightly under the motherboard and ill loop the 24 pin around and under so it tucks under the edge of the board, or ill be drilling a hole for each wire and threading them through, not sure what direction ill take it yet but most likely the 24 holes, ill most likely do something similar with the gpu power cables with a 4x7 grid holes unless it looks overly cluttered.

Sata cables ill be using right angled cables with black wires and they will 100% be threaded through a hole under the edge of the board and you should only see the top side of the connectors then.

Also thats pretty damn neat considering how little you have done to the case so nice one there. I dont think mine has ever looked that neat in this case yet :p

Sorry to hear about the fire :(

I remember you showing me the concept designs a while ago, so I'm excited to see the project unfold :)

Thanks for the support so far, Also have a quick little update already as well.

Dropped some sleeve on the pump, ill replace the connector with a black one from the stock case fan when i strip the system as the standard one is a dirty beige.

And ive cut the support plastics out of the roof panel as it looks pretty ugly when light passes through it, ill neaten the edges and clear up the scratches where ive filed it down with some fine sand paper when i start prepping for paint.

Over all the top panel looks alot nicer when light passes through it now.

Hm, that sounds kinda familiar

Excuse me, I think something just happened in my pants. :dribble:

Both of these came out in a time when I didn't really have the money or the time
to make PC's so this build will be a totally awesome nostalgia trip for me. :)

The cosmos i managed to pick up from PC world of all places, was in buying a crappy little cheap mouse for a mate while i was walking past and saw it, being the last one on the shelf with no price anywhere, asked how much out of curiosity and was told as its the last one i could have it for 70, not bad as at the time it was around 150 still. Needless to say i jumped on it, the only problem was the 1 mile walk to the bus stop with it and then the 1 mile walk home from the bus stop when i got off

More parts :D

Had some more bits turn up today.

A Phobya G-Changer 360,
An Alphacool Cape Corp AGB2
8x Alphacool barbs,
5x Alphacool 90° rotary barbed fittings,
2x Alphacool 90° Rotary male to female,
1x Alphacool rotary male to male,
1x Alphacool 45° rotary male to female
