Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide - "Hybrid Affinities"

I loved Civ V and I got this preordered as soon as I could because it seemed worthy. However I was super disappointed and tbh was extremely boring. I also think this should have been in the base game, starting/building on water and not be an expansion, you are an extremely advanced race moving to a new planet, they already have the tech it should have been doable from the start. Civ V is still the best Civ for anyone new to the series because imo this was dull. However if this expansion really does make it worth playing again then I'm all for it.

I agree, water building should of been standard but maybe that water is an odd viscosity and it does not behave like normal water ;) im just playing i do definitely agree.

I'm glad a few people are into this maybe do a online hotseat, ive done it with my dad but as soon as he finds it hard he quits, which is a shame because i learnt my tenacity on games he used to be good at.

I've even looked for new versions of old games to get him to play a full game :( like he loved sudden strike got him a game close to that obvs age of empires and stronghold have hd packs which helps but waiting on Pharaoh!!

But i digress, would be good to explore the DLC as a group.

Let's not forget that Civ 5 was considered a let down/ not as good as Civ 4 before it had two expansions.

Looks nice! I've never played a Civilization game, which is something I'm quite ashamed of. Might have to give it a chance.

On a side-note: I noticed the author name of the article is still in white (and thus appears invisible on the page). Might be a good idea to change the colour to grey, black or red :)

thats a shame :( wait till christmas and the steam sales it would probs go for a fiver :)
maybe even try civ 4 still a good game :)
but would be cheaper just maybe not as pretty.

and sorry for off topic but average ninja how many members are in the OC3D Overclockers Club has it reached 300 yet ,,, and i dont think i need to explain why im asking lol ;)

I thought original Civ 5 was awesome. It was still far less boring then BE was at launch. That game just bored me out beyond words:p

Oh lord, seems I have quite a few members waiting to be added. I need to check more often..

I'm in class atm, I'll have them added later.

We're at 63 members atm btw. Plus the members that need to be added.
