Finally jumped in at the deep end and sorted my update out, but am still having to hold off on a complete update till enough funds become available.

The story so far.

BFG 8800GTS OC2 320 replaces ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128mb

Thermaltake Shark replaces some cheap thing

Silverpower 600W replaces Zalman 400W (still a very good PSU no trouble at all)

Zalman 5.1 headsets replace some cheap logitech set

XFi Gamer Extreme replaces on board sound

Arctic Silver 5 for PSU replaces - wait for it .......nothing as i am running less heat paste atm for a trial and it has been ok for 2 weeks at load never maxing 50 degs with a golden orb 2 on, (highly polished)

I think that will make a big enough impact on my system for me to notice :D

Can't wait for it to arrive:yumyum:

Nice step up for you there :D

You'll be happy when you know you worked hard for it and should be pretty future proof!

Arctic 5 for the PSU? Don't think you really mean that now do you lol

LOL agreed...CPU methinks. Looks pretty good chudley, although I do agree with Kemp's remark on the shark. But yes, it is a personal thing.

PSU  yes I mean CPU.

The shark is a cost solution for a bigger case with removeable MB tray, if I had £180 to spare i would have got a totally different case, Silverstone TJ09 is what I would really love. I was gonna build my own, but my new place of work means I cannot get at the bits i need just yet. (still might get round to doing it as a project within the year though)

I am oc'ing the CPU at the moment although I dare not take it past 2.3 atm due to heat and airflow issues, in new case I might wind it up a bit more,(with the paste added lol) The memory is on stock atm but will also go up once all the other cooling temps are ok and case temp is measured.

My old case is only 41cm high, and 46 deep, so it is pretty confined.

I will take some pics of before and after. also some of my current CSS screen which has gone well weird.
