Hey, I was looking to get a watercool build for my P182 and was looking to get thsee components:



I was just wondering if anyone thinks I could get anythting better for what I need for the same price or any opinions.

I know the new EK block is coming out so I might try and wait for that, but I jjust wanted to check that everything else was ok. One thing I don't get is the tops for the pumps, do they make a difference?

Good choice for pump and CPU block, obviously as Ham stated you need to get a radiator.

Other than that the only thing that I would change is your hose clamps. I personally only trust the jubilee clamps, it is however a personal preference.

Everything looks fine, only thing i'd say is to change the top on the pump to either the OC Labs or XSPC top. They are both better performing that the Alphacool one.

3rd party plexi tops would take it out of his budget mate (£150) and he's having a 240 black ice rad off me (currently in the post). Do you do prebuilt pumps+tops for less than the combined retail of the two parts?

I actually put the clamps on his order for him simply because of convenience, 7/16ths on 1/2" + medium duty clamps should be perfectly fine. That being said, piece of mind is worth a fair bit so if you want to be 200% sure, frags suggestion of jubilee clips / wormdrive clamps would be worthwhile

He's included the DDC Pro with the Alphacool top.. the XSPC & OC Labs top are actually cheaper than the Alphacool top... winner all round.

Got the case and radiator today llwyd but unfortunately its not as I expected!

Ill speak to you on MSn tonight about it, the front door has snapped and doesn't stay on, theres about 10 pieces of broken plastic in the bottom of the box, don't know whether it was like this before you posted it or not but its not too good as the front of the case is hanging off

Ill probably get those clips/clamps

Going to try and stick the front of the case back on today sometime, might work but I will have to see!

Tried ringing but its all automated mate and the POS computer wont recognise the order number so i've sent and email with the order number requesting a claim. They have my Email at the moment so i'll pass things over to you if i'm able to have the money wired direct.

I hope you signed for it properly.....

I didnt sign for it, reception did so I assume they did everything correectly, they normally do!

Well some companies will

you if you dont check it before you sign, which is why you should always tick the box saying its damaged even before you check.

Anyway i'm printing off the letter, some photos and photocopying the receipt. Like I said dont fix anything until the claim comes through as they may want more photos or want to inspect it.

i'll try again in a bit but there wouldnt be much to gain by it, they need photocopies of delivery receipts, photos, proof of value and a copy of their claim form. i'll drop the lot in the post office later

Managed to get the radiator on the back, will be starting a build log next week though for everything, including how to fix a P182
