Cheap yet decent headphones

Hi guys My corsair 1300's have just broken (right earcup not working). No warranty on them anyway so me and my dad took them apart to see whats wrong inside the inline controls and we couldn't find anything. he's going to try and solder the cables back together but I doubt it'll work.

I've got some desk mic upstairs somewhere so all I need is some new headphones. Cheap as possible yet still decent. Looking at the sennheiser 201's, 202's and 419's at the moment.


EDIT: Not to much of a worry now. Me and my dad took the inline controller out and bypassed it. All works perfect now though suggestions would still be good

What's your exact budget?
One that's not too expensive, but also not really cheap, is the Siberia V2 from
steelseries (in white of course ;D). Those're supposed to be epic

The 200 series are pretty much the best budget headphones around.

I've got a pair of 218s, which I doubt you'll be interested in, but they're good quality. My mate has the 202s which are really nice too for the price.

The 201s are a bit uncomfortable however, so I wouldn't go for them.

Anything under 40. Would be willing to go to 50 if they are really worth it. I've had bad experience with steelseries headphones :/ My mate had 2 sets of siberias which broke and i've had 2 sets oh 5h V2's break on me. Looking for headphones more than a headset mind.

Might look some more into the 200 series. They'll be used with a asus dgx if that makes any difference with my choices.

literally just got the sennheisers 201 on tuesday there.. maplins for 15 with a voucher i had stashed away, have to say they are excellent value for the money, puts my old ms lx3000 to shame,

Though i feel they are a bit quiet, but as you got a xonar with the headphone amp, should rock your socks.

By the way really really comfy. 7hours plus sitting here today (damn you livestream and day off work) with them on and no sweaty ear syndrome yet.

seeing you got a solution just saying they definitely worth the 15-20quid
