Cheap HD Camcorder

So, a friend of mine has appointed me head of all technological knowledge, no matter what type of tech it is. Because of this, she's asked me to pick between two HD camcorders - the victor shall be purchased tomorrow.

Above are the two choices, so as you can see there's a definite budget in place. I'd say that £200 is the limit, with cheapness being an advantage.

So, what with the influx of new, clever members, I thought i'd deflect the question to you guys.
Out of the two, which is the better?

i would advise to stay away from argos i had 3 cameras from there all the same all were faulty out of the box. I got a refund brought the same camera off amazon for cheaper and its perfect think argos must mistreat the boxes.

from the 2 you listed, id go with the Panasonic, its lighter, and has a greater optical zoom.
