Cheap, basic board for parents

OK I have a spare C2D and a spare AM2 X2 so I can utilise either platform with DDR2.

I really want to use the AMD chip as it's spare, but have no idea what mobo to use.

Suggestions?

Cheap as poss but a decent brand. I might stick a very small OC on here but I doubt it

Like I said, it's for the parents so it's not exactly going to be gaming or anything so the X2 is fine as far as power is concerned

Or if you really want to go really cheap buy a pcchips, or a biostar xD

Just saw this. Not sure if you're aware, but some biostar boards are actually pretty damn sweet and OC like mad. Mentioning pcchips on this forum is just about enough reason for me to ban you though, so don't do it again ;) :nono:

I second a 780 motherboard, it is what is in my mums PC :D and an old AM2. The 3200 IGP does the trick, it costs abouut 50 notes so it is not "cheap" but does the job, doesn't need a graphics card so less noise etc My Gigabyte was £52 so might have come down by now
