Changing service providers, Lose main email?

This is probably a dumb question for some but I do not know for sure and need to know so I can make some changes to my contacts.

Ok, so I have been an ATT internet customer for many years. My main email account is on the Yahoo home page with the standard

XXXXX@att.net email addy.

We have just recently in our home, had a new service provider hooked up. We are now using Bright House Cable as our Internet provider.

Our ATT account is still active as of right now but will be cut off anytime now.

I am wondering if when that happens if I will also lose access to my ATT email account? Or if I will always be able to use it as long as I have an internet connection. If I am going to lose it I need to go to all my websites and contacts to set up a new email account with Road Runner.

Anyone know how it works?

you will lose it sooner or later I was with them for along time as well then no longer needed it as I went to Kuwait lol no ATT there. anywho it was like about 3-4 months before they turned it off and no telling when they will do yours. After having to go thru that before and then I decided to use a web based e-mail so that way no matter what ISP I was with I wouldnt have to ever change it again. I use Yahoo for mine but there are alot of free decent web based e-mails you can check out.

Yahoo is free? and I assume you would recommend it?

Actually not sure If that is what I have, I have xxxxxxxx@att.net, its att.net mail but says at the top of the page "Powered by Yahoo mail beta" and its a Yahoo home page that I click on the mail Icon. But Maybe Ill set up a new @yahoo.com mail to be safe.

ATT uses yahoo features but its not reall Yahoo.com mail you can use any email program out there and if you know the server settings can set them up to check email from att without the yahoo fluff lol I have been on yahoo mail sinceI got back from Kuwait in 2005 and have had no issues at all with it matter of fact I have multiple accounts. I dont like using my personal one for like craiglist selling or buying. So I created one just for that.
