CES Thread

Added the CNET live stream in op, starts in ~6hrs from the time of this post.

Upcoming conferences from AMD and Intel today.

The Nvidia one is over but can be re-watched on the link in op. I haven't watch it yet but I just read something about them announcing a 192 core Tegra processor :o don't know the full details though.

There aren't really any demanding mobile games out there though are there? Or is this a Windows tablet that you can run PC games on?

I don't know about this shizzle, I'm sticking to the best, that is iPad. :p

Ah I wanted something to listen to today ^_^

I'm guessing AMD will announce more APUs (specifically the low powered ones, like the cpu used in consoles) and some stupid overpriced 8350 variant as one last stupid cash grab for the now retired FX series.

Intel will talk about mobile cpus for tablets andd the such and probably mention a little bit about desktop and server cpus.

It's and ARM processor so if your thinking windows gaming tablet, it will be windows RT :(.

There have been a lot of rumors from AMD regarding x86 mobile apus, possible gaming full windows tablet?

Oh I don't know, don't quote me on it but I thought Razer's tablet was a full-on Windows 8 gaming tablet?

yeah the razor is using proper pc components, i'm just saying nvidia's new tegra K1 is a arm processor so it can't run proper windows (as its not an x86 processor) and it therefore cannot be used for playing proper pc games on a tablet.

Ahh sorry I'm with you now. :)

I wouldn't my razers anyway, it's hardly a portable device so why bother sitting on the couch with it, just go on the gaming rig. :)

Just finished watching the Nvidia conference, dat TK1

That is one awesome little chip, it will be interesting to see what Apple and Qualcomm come up with to compete with it.
