Celeron temps!

Good morning people!

I have decided im going to overclock the Celeron that I got from Sean.

So far I have it running at 2.5GHz rather than 2.1Ghz.

Just wondering what a safe temp for this chip to be at on load.

At the moment it is folding and it is running at 46oC.

Could I go up to 50oC? or further?

Whats a good voltage to stop at?

Like these things run on 1.55 defualt.. so you must be able to push them quite far..

Id say a little higher than ionicals guess then and 70ish. 1.55v stock and 130nm iirc, so a little more robust than modern cpus. Had 1.9v (bios setting, real was 1.85ish) going through mine

i stil wouldnt take it above 65, just to be safe...

I woulda thought tox would know the + .2v max on non-sub ambient cooling.

as was previous said, 130Nm, can take 1.7....1.6 would be better, but can take 1.7

Yeah Northwoods don't handle 1.7v at all well, it is well documented

Right, Im running at 2.9ghz with a voltage of about 1.65... Is that okay?

Or should I bring the voltage down a little?

Temps are at about 50oC at load..
