ccc 12.4 Manual fan control and stability issues

Im having a issue with ccc and manual fan control.

After a unfortunate mishap i was forced to RMA my original Powercolor 7950.

While the 7950 was in route i had to use one of my spair video cards a 6670.

Well anyway i got my new 7950 back yesterday and i uninstalled the 6670 drivers and downloaded the new amd 12.4 drivers and installed the new card and drivers.

Now i cant set manual fan control.





Aslo i am having random crash restarts now that the new card is installed. I ran Unigine to see if it would crash under load but it finished a benchmark run just fine



I also ran Prime for 30 minutes and did 3 intel burn tests and evrything passed no errors no crashes but after that i was watching a movie about 2 hours later and my pc just randomly restarted

Is anyone else having instability issues with ccc 12.4 and manual fan control

Update: I noticed no reply to this so i figured i was just making a noob mistake and it turns out i was.. After reading more posts here about drivers problems i seen a post by S_I_N and he sugested a driver cleaning program such as Driver Sweeper to fix a unrelated issue. So indirectly i took his advice remebering back to my old nvidia 6800 gs days and having to download Driver Cleaner Pro to remove nvidia drivers before installing ATI drivers. SUCCESS!!!. After using Driver Sweeper and reinstaling 12.4 CCC all my problems have been solved. I can control the fan speed and no more crashes..
